About

Meet Amanda — Founder, Historian, Consultant, Storyteller

Amanda is the founder and curious force behind The Archive Lens, a boutique research and consulting studio dedicated to uncovering family histories, crafting immersive heritage travel experiences, and historical consulting for creative media. Her work blends scholarly precision with a storyteller’s intuition—bringing ancestral narratives vividly to life. With over 20 years of genealogical research and a career that bridges education, storytelling, and cultural insight, she helps individuals, families, and creators uncover and shape meaningful narratives from the past.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, alongside additional degrees in Mathematics and Education (B.A., M.Ed.). Her career includes more than 10 years teaching Math and History at both high school and university levels—experience that fuels her methodical approach and passion for accessible learning. She’s collaborated on creative projects across industries, authored educational content, and designed research strategies for producers, writers, and families alike.

Currently, Amanda is writing a book based on her recent research interests and consulting on two creative projects. Whether decoding 19th-century handwriting, curating travel rooted in archival truth, or guiding creators through historical storytelling, she brings clarity, empathy, and narrative depth to every collaboration. Through The Archive Lens, her mission remains constant: to connect past and present, one story at a time.
